This week, in a hard fought defensive match, New York Magic defender Kelci Hegg shut down Long Island’s leading goal scorer to earn USL W-League Team of the Week honors.  Magic’s Rashidah Sherman (forward) earned an honorable mention doing what she does best....scoring the only goal of the match to secure the precious victory.

The game was played on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the New York Magic home field located on the campus of Iona College’s Mazzella Stadium.
